Bog Deathgrip

I bought a Bog Deathgrip clamp to put on a tripod I have. The Deathgrip has an ARCA plate I think (pretty sure) it is too small for my tripod clamp is there some type of adapter that I can buy?

I have the BOG POD death grip tripod. I was just looking at it. It seems a little short for me. I was trying to see if I could make it taller.

Why not just put an ARCA on the rifle?

Right in the description of the grip it says

The Arca-Swiss adapter can be removed exposing 1/4”-20 or 3/8”-16 threaded holes for mounting your own Tripod Head plate or simply threading onto a Tripod Center Post.

Yes it comes with a plate and the base is threaded I would like it to quick disconnect was hoping to find an adapter and not have to unscrew it if I want to put a camera on it.

Ok i just got mine delivered today. Take the 4 bolts that hold their poor excuse for an arca rail of and put a real arca plate on. Theirs is way too small to fit on a regular arca adapter on a tripod.

Where do you find a real ARCA plate and adapter?

Order one off Amazon for less than $10

The one that comes on the Bog is not machined correctly. It "looks" like an arca plate, sorta. But the dovetail isn't "thick" enough so it doesn't hold in the tripod adapter.

One thing, does your tripod have a true arca plate adapter? Some older and cheaper tripods have a similar fixture but are foe their own shaped and sized plates.
