    Baked Potato Soup

Peel 8 - 10 potatoes and cube them. Cut up 1 onion into chunks and Put in a pot and fill with just enough water to cover the potatoes and onions. Add 1 can cream of chicken soup, about 2 cups of milk and a big spoonful of butter and sour cream and 1/2 package of real bacon bits. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt and bring to a boil. When potatoes are tender mash some of them up and leave some chunky, add a package of real bacon bits, 1 package of shredded cheese, about 2 cups of chopped green onions and stir. If it's too thick add some more milk until desired consistency. Taste and add more salt, pepper and garlic salt if needed. Eat up!!

This looks like something to try some cook sunday afternoon this winter. Would go good with a football game and a loaf (or two) of fresh french bread.

whenever we make potatoe soup we make apple cakes with it. we take red delicious apples core them then cut into rings. mix up some pan cake batter dip the apple rings in the batter then fry them up.
