There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my kids in the outdoors. The best part is hearing the excitement in their voice before they pull the trigger, the elevated breathing, and the way they deal with the excitement of "buck fever".

November 1st, 2015 - Kerr County - The beginning of the 2015-2016 rut, in full exposure, literally the first day of real rut activity for mature deer. This buck is 5 - 6 years old, a scarred Hill Country warrior.
Scene: Mature buck is hot on a doe, tailing her as she nervously feeds. Nose hoisted in the air, slight lip curl, the whites of his eyes exposed and neck swollen with an uncontrollable urge. He head bashed his antlers against the weed to the right of the photo's frame, over and over. He's in the process of dropping down and doing another bash, as he sniffs his girl just upwind and to the right of this image. Vegetation hanging off of his right side G1 antler point.
