    Improving Habitat

Foods plots and supplemental protein feed are great ways to improve the quality of deer.

What do you guys/gals do to improve habitat? I have been reading some info from QDMA that talks about doing things to manage the natural vegetation. (Plowing, mowing, fertilizing, selective herbicides.) Anyone do any of these things or something else to improve the habitat?

I have been thinking about trying some of these things but I am not sure how applicable it is to Kinney county where I hunt. Think cedars and rocks, but we do have some areas that could support food plots if it rains.

If you have cedar, kill about 90% of them. The 10% you dont cut should be to create breaks.
