Does anyone have any experience with a CRKT S.P.E.W?
I'm thinking about buying one. The only thing I wish was the handle was a little longer so I'm not completely sold on it yet. Sweet lookin knife I just can't decide if the thinner profile of the knife will be something I don't like later on.
My every day carry knife is a large folder and I've been wanting something a little thinner. I'm trying to decide if maybe the Kershaw Hotwire wouldn't be better for what I'd want. Decisions,decisions....
I carry a SPEW. I modified the factory sheath with Lara odd my belt slips through and it sits almost horizontal in appendix carry. The blade is not an EDC in my opionion. It really good only for one thing, self defense...handle length is not issue for me.

Awesome man. Honestly I think I'm gonna buy both knives. The Kershaw Hotwire is a pretty inexpensive knife and I like Kershaw knives so I might as well. A new knife is the last thing I need but I like em' so I suppose two more won't hurt.
Having a self defense knife isn't necessarily a bad thing either I suppose. In today's world a person about needs something for that.
I have not seen a knife in Auckland, New Zealand in two days!!! The only 3 gun shops are in a industrial area and you must be cleared by the gubment to buy one Lordy!!!!!!
I went ahead and bought the Kershaw Hotwire. Pretty sweet little knife for $10 and some change. I don't know about these auto assist knives though. I never have carried one before. I feel like the little sucker is gonna open in my pocket and give me a really bad boo boo. The kind a band aid can't do nothin about.
