Removing scent from inside of boots.

I wear my snake/hunting boots often, which includes sweating a lot while working at the lease. After this summer, they flat out stink inside. What's everyone's preferred method for scent control of the inside of your boots? There are plenty of threads about scent control, but most people seem to pay attention to the outside....if I can smell them, I'm sure deer will from a mile away.

The scent control spray companies make boot powder also.

I just bought some dead down wind boot powder today. Gonna give it a try, but I'm sure baking soda will work just as well. When I was in high school (before all the scent eliminator products were around) I took an outdoor class, that offered hunter's education, the teacher said to wash clothes and your body with baking soda to eliminate scent.

I mix up scentaway laundry soap in a 5 gallon bucket and wash mine inside and out and let them soak for an hour or so to get the Off or Repel spray off from turkey season. Yes, it takes a while to dry, hot day and a fan blowing inside the boot, but it works.

Wrap in plastic and put them in the freezer for a day.

Put a couple charcoal Briquettes in them when stored.

This right here! I would not use Baking Soda. Baking Soda is a courser granule than the other boot powders. Baking Soda can actually cause blisters, especially on the bottoms of your toes if used while wearing them.
