Really depends on the parents IMO. Certainly not going to criticize it or those that do it, but if the parents aren’t all in as teachers I think there are some risks to be seriously considered. We used to be neighbors with a family that were good good people, but the parents didn’t have the education themselves to adequately teach their kids and then on top of that had decided their kids weren’t college material and therefore didn’t pursue teaching them any more than just the basics. To me that is a huge educational tragedy, because those kids could have been very bright and will never realize their full potential.
