Default When cancer comes to take a life

Never thought it would be one of my family members who would be fighting for her life. Started as a tumor elsewhere that was removed. You think and hope that's the end of it. Then your loved one is later on hospitalized again. Dr tells the patient there isn't any hope of stopping it for good.

I thought last year was hard. Maybe I or we are stronger, but it doesn't get any easier to see a loved one fighting to live and not giving up. But the body can only take so much. Man this is tough.....

Been there. My mom fought ovarian cancer for four years. Cancer is an insidious beast. I hate it. And yes, you never think, or at least we didn't think, it'll be one of your family members.

Prayers offered.

Buried a favorite cousin today. He had bronchitis in February. Couldn't shake it. Last month it went into pneumonia. Got better and then came back. His left lung filled with fluid. Drained a quart of bloody fluid and another quart the next day. A CT scan reveled cancer. Previous lung x-rays did not catch it. Doctor gave him 6 months. and he died 3 days later.

Eat your desert first!

My mom passed in 1988 after lung cancer spread to her brain. Her doctor tried to offer some strange solace by predicting there would be a cure for cancer by the year 2000. Here it is 2017 and we are still losing family and friends to this awful disease.

So so sorry. It is an awful thing to go thru. Unfortunately I have seen it at its worst and lost a family member in her early 20's with a little boy who had to watch and burry his mommy. Also had a close friend loose his 4 year old girl to it.

You know you hear rumors that they have found a cure but the government or some other high agency nix it as cancer creates so much money they don't want to loose. Do y'all think any of that is true. I pray it's not and one day soon they will find a cure.

We are dealing with this also.. Stage 4.
I've been spending a lot of time, the last 4 months, at MDA.
Its mind boggling and very scary to see how many, from the very young to the very old, that are fighting cancer.. Its sickening..

I believe they ha e a cure or it but fail to reveal it due to the money donated to cancer research. I hope I am wrong. I just lost my best friend 35 years old to cancer last year. Hang in there .

Cancer is evil and doesn't discriminate

I am a believer that cancer can be cured, but drug companies make more money treating it than they would if they cured it. Sad
