Got my first Turkey this weekend. It was actually a double, I killed another 10 seconds later.

I was going to wait til the end of the month but I'm not sure I'd be able to do much better! Nothing says springtime in Texas more to me than a field full of bluebonnets!

I've been busy moving and my cameras have been put away for the most part, but I snagged a few on Easter. More so than an entry, I'll share one of my little beauty...

I got a chance to shoot a pair of Prothonotary Warblers this month on the Wood Duck trail at the Heard Natural Science Museum in McKinney. This one is an uncropped photo of the male.

Bill asked me to judge this one so here I am. There are a lot of great submittals and this isn't easy to decide. Since this thing is a bit subjective in that humans are judging, nothing says Spring in Texas to me more than wildflowers. For that reason, I'm picking Agtex42s image.

Great job folks. There are some real doozies in here. With that said, I need to get something submitted for these. I should be ashamed!

There were certainly some good ones this month! Thanks to BillM for resurrecting the thread and to Casey for the nod. I got lucky with good light and and an unexpected field full of bluebonnets on a family trip to Glen Rose. Glad to see all the entries this month, I'll try to get something up for May by Sunday!
