    Houston bow shops

    Afternoon GS:

Anybody have any recommendations on bow shops in Houston that they like? I recently moved here and am looking to get a pick up a Mathews (new or used - do not exactly which model yet). I had to part ways with my bow a little over a year ago, but am finally in a position to pick one up.

Houston is a big town. In what part of town do you live?

      West Houston http://www.westhoustonarchery.com

      Texas Archery (Spring) https://www.thebowzone.com

Triple Edge far east side http://www.tripleedgeusa.com

      Welcome to the city!

what part of town are you in? the aforementioned Texas Archery is one of if not the best. but, it may be a long drive depending on where you are.

lots of people like West Houston Archery. but, i've had a couple of less than stellar experiences there that i won't shop there anymore.

Take a road trip to Bridge City Texas to Precision Archery and see Donnie Pickard and his crew. No better shop around.

Rick at West Houston Archery was extremely helpful, when I went in there a few weeks back, to have my bow checked out. Turns out that my cams were out of time. He took the time to explain everything he was doing to my bow, and why.
Your mileage may vary, but I was very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to go back to them again.......and it's a loooong way from my house.

Just went to west houston on friday and got my sons bow resized. He grew 5 inch’s last year. Not sure of the guys name i had but he was not very motivated. I think rick helped me last time and he was cool. They were busy and there was a small wait to shoot on the line.

Definitely go back to west houston.

Santa fe archery was not far from home when they were open.

x2 I'm from Beaumont but just moved to Sugar Land in the Houston area and still continue to use Precision Archery.

Just my two cents. West Houston Archery will be the closest and most convenient for you to get to from the Med Center. I live in the West U area directly bordering TMC. For me personally, if I’m going for a quick shooting session I will go to West Houston, but that’s where my need for that shop ends. My past experiences have not been great when trying to purchase items and discuss needs. Since you are purchasing a bow I would suggest Texas Archery in Spring, as others mentioned.

                            Best of luck OP!
