Thumbs down Bad Online Deal

Recently I switched to Obsession Bows and literally started an obsession. Really liked the way they felt and started searching for the one I wanted in Phoenix model. I have an Evolution and wanted the Phoenix to have 2 bows (backup). I searched for a couple days and found 3 I was eyeballing. Decided on one that was listed one Ebay bare bow figuring I could set it up how I wanted. DL was perfect and pattern was everything I was looking for.

I read the description and although I knew it was used it stated that everything was good. Only con was strings were 75%. Mountain Archery was the seller and after looking them up online I noticed a few TBHrs followed their page. That made me think I was making the right decision. Boy was I wrong!

Today I received the bow. Iíll let the pics tell the rest of the story. Iíve requested refund however no returns accepted. We shall see what happens.

I canít believe anyone let alone an Archery Shop would send a bow out in this condition. Beware of Mountain Archery in Idaho!

Dust, rotten dampeners, stripped stabilizer nut/threads and scuffs all over.

Yeah, I'd be po'd too. I seriously doubt that bow was inspected. Either it's been shot A TON or they left it outside in very dry conditions for a longer period of time.

Too much for this condition! $300 plus shipping and eBay slapped on sales tax now. The other 2 I was watching were loaded with top notch accessories for $500-$550

I am getting one of them now.

I requested return and they said I can file a claim after 11/20 if no response or settlement with seller.

Under “Condition”...first, second, third and fourth sentences should actually read:
Used as a door prop. An item that has been used previously as a door prop. Fully operational and functions as intended to prop open door. This item was a model used extensively on a dirt floor and a store return that has been used to prop open the shop door when it gets hot.

Good luck on gettin set up with some good equipment Antlers. And good luck on the recovery.

I don’t see how you couldn’t have spotted most all of that in the pics? Unless they didn’t provide any pics or only had one from far away.

Tough snot for me!?!?! Ebay guaranteed money back buyer protection. There were 3 pics. If your familiar with Obsession Stormy camo patterns the limbs look like that and not dust. Iíll post the other pics as well.

Nice edit!

You make it sound like this is completely acceptable based on description given in the ad. I have purchased 100s if used items off eBay and online websites. This was a first for me not anything near the description given.

This was he clearest I could view the bow on the listing. Now that I know the limb design is from dust itís visible but like I said it looks a lot like Stormy Camo pattern Obsession used a few years ago.

I edited it because you hadnít posted the pic yet. After you posted the pic, I changed the post to say what you quoted here. Both were legit post and only changed because you posted a pic.
Itís clearly dusty in the other pics you posted but does look like itís in good condition. Looks like they took pics of what they did on purpose to be misleading. Hopefully eBay will take care of you.
I bet if you send a link of this to that bow shop, they may realize how many bow hunters frequent here and will make it right.

Stay on there arse Jason! That's complete BS for a Bow shop to sell it in that condition. They took those pics that way to make the bows condition appear better than it was. What kind of reputable bow shop would sell any bow without at least cleaning it first? The bow shop is 100% wrong, and so are the guys questioning you on this thread.

To that point, I would be surprised if the bow pictured was the actual bow they sent you. Seems like there's a good chance those are internal "stock photos" of the same make/model they had sold in the past.

Again, good luck and keep on 'em!
