I've seen the commercials, the best selling truck, blah blah blah. I've also seen the recalls and think about this also. Take a drive around used car lots and tell me what brand truck you see the most of, DODGE. Just sayin.

I really don't see why so many people care what others are buying. I'm not trying to convince anyone that my truck is better. It's what I wanted and it works for me (so far). I've had all three major brands (no Toyota) and they've all had flaws. Guess I don't see why it matters what others decide to buy.

I have owned 3 different Dodge 4x4 trucks over the last 9 years. All were bought new.One had over 160k on it when I sold it.Never had 1 single issue with any of them at all.Just traded my last one in on a 2015 Tundra.Hope I have the same luck with Toyota as I did with Dodge.

Hes just running his mouth like the rest lol.

I find that 99% of folks who slam dodge and Ram, havent ever even owned one. My last one has 160k+ on it. I wanted a new one and bought one last september (happy birthday to me ) and me and my wife love it. Fully loaded 1500 with the hemi and 4x4. Folks need to realize the recall is on the older trucks. 2012 was the newest one I think. At least they are doing something about it, unlike ford who just stuck folks with the 6.broke and 6.4 haha

I loved my 98. My inlaws drive nothing but Dodge 2500 diesels. 4 in the last 10 years with 1 lemmon, 2 had transmission issues but they all (except the lemmon) ran for more than 200000 miles. I just like Fords options, interior and back seat space better.

Why must people care so much about what other drive. I'm a dodge fan. Think I have personally owned 10 between wife and me. Not counting the ones on our landscape crews. They seem to work fine with no issues. Oh well it's time to go to work. Going to go hop in the DODGE and see if I can make it with out people looking down on me.

I had a dodge once and it sucked... I fell for the line of BS that I was just unlucky and ended up with another dodge.. It sucked even worse. No way in hades even if it's free would I drive another dodge.

Before anyone calls BS I gave away my last dodge (KBB was over $5k) because I felt bad the guy would end up paying too much to keep it running.

I really don't understand the buyback. They can fix the issue or buy back the truck. My truck is part of the recall and I'm getting it fixed instead of selling it. 135,000 miles and not a single issue

I would imagine there at more fords in used dealerships because there are more of them sold? I don't think that says anything except maybe math works? These arguments are so silly. Buy what you like. Who cares what others are doing

Some really retarded arguements here

let me be the first to point out...
a) used car dealers...stock what they can sell
b) lack of a certain manufacturers used car lot in your town isnt a good thing.
c) Putting stink bait on a broke hook only works part of the way..

Had a 2000 Dodge truck put 177,000 on it with only 2 minor issues.
Had a 2011 ford truck 72,000 miles had problems the whole time I had it.

There was a study once that associated brand loyalty with vehicles, beer, "die hard football fans, etc with people that were not satisfied with their lives. They replaced personal goals and accomplishment with inexplicable loyalty to companies and teams to create a false sense of pride and success based on others' status and success.

My very first truck I ever owned was a 2001 Ram 1500 4wd, 5.2 liter, had 260,000 miles on it when I sold it.
My dad has a 2002 2500, 5.9 6 speed, it stays hooked up to a trailer with tractor, it's only got about 280,000 miles on it, not loaded the thing will get around 20mpg, all original, the dash needs to be reworked, like all of the similar year/build.

I drive a Ford, but their is absolutely nothing wrong with a Dodge, it's all how they are driven and maintained, sure they have their recalls, which maker doesn't these days?

My $.02

I bought my first truck last year, and before I did I test drove a Dodge, Chevy and a Ford. I ended up buying the F-150 because I liked the interior best, and just liked the look and feel of it. I didn't have a problem or "hate" for the others. People like what they like. My cousin is one of these people. He has a Chevy, always has had a Chevy, and always will have a Chevy. Every chance he gets he posts something silly about how totally super awesome Chevys are. I guess I'm just not that into it. I'd buy any of them next time if I found one that I liked at the right price. Makes me no difference who makes it.

I've never owned a dodge. I have no problem with them except when their mirrors cause me to run off the road to keep from hitting them. Oh and the "if you can't dodge it Ram it" sticker on the back windshield. That's probably just Cowboy fans rocking that sticker though.

Reminds me of vasectomy threads. All the people who got lucky and didn't have complications want to tell others how easy it is and to go for it. Just ignore the guy curled up in the corner crying.

Ford, Chevy, and Dodge may all suck but I have never known any Toyota's to be lemons or fall apart like Fords, Chevys, or Dodges.

I use to drive Dodge trucks. No major problems with either any of the Diesels other than common stuff. Where you can see why they are cheaper is in the cosmetics and suspension. Ride like a dang chuck wagon, dash is broken into 300000000 pieces, center console is broke, half of the electrical stuff doesn't work right. But I put a lot of miles on the with few issues mechanically.

Now we get t my LAST Dodge, I stopped at the pet store to get a kennel, food, bowls, etc... for a new dog we had just bought. Me and my 3 year old daughter get out of the truck and barely make it into the store when there is an announcement over the loud speaker. "To whoever drives the big blue dodge, your truck is smoking." By the time I get outside, maybe 2 minutes after getting out of the truck it is on fire. Electrical problem, just like the other handful of small electrical problems that all of my Dodges had over time. If I would have been driving and feeding it more oxygen no telling how bad the outcome would have been. Switched to Ford a week later and will never go back. Way better ride, nothing falls apart, and they haven't ever had a problem.
