1 Dozen down, 3 to go

Got through making this dozen last Sunday and have three dozen more shafts sealed and crested and ready to start on.

I haven't shot any woodies since the final 3D shoot last July at Paris. I made it through the season with only three remaining from the dozen I made last February (and I broke two of those practicing with them in the backyard this week). I normally do my practicing with aluminum since they don't break as easily. I took these out to the range today to select the ones I want to shoot at Paris in two weeks (3D season is almost here again).

The bag target I warm up on at the range is at 23 yards. The first one of these I shot hit the center of the 2" spot I was looking at on the bag. The second one broke the knock off of the first one.

Man, I love woodies. They just feel, sound, and fly so much better. I'm really looking forward to the season starting back up.

Those are some good looking arrows. I just came inside from shooting some old woodies that I bought off of Javi. I need to get some more.

      Nice looking arrows.

I'm cresting two dozen this afternoon in between playing with the pups.
