First, let me say that nobody should feel bad or like they have done anything wrong. I had a couple of people ask me if I thought something they posted sparked this thread. I told them no that it was more about a trend in the board and not personal at all.

Next, I would say that I am probably the biggest offender, of posting not trad things. All summer I was posting stories about wrecking trucks, catching fish, whatever. I did think about the fact that it was not traditional archery, but the board moves so slowly in the off season, I felt like it was good to give folks something to read.

My positon on the topic, is this...yes...the vast majority of stuff posted here should be about traditional archery and hunting. I do think there is room for some other stuff as well. I don't want this to turn into campfire part b and start talking about which mud tires to get, but just talking about which arrows for with bow, also gets a bit old.

Let me try and explain a bit more. This forum is pretty tight little community. Not that we are exclusive, as we welcome all, but many of us here know each other personally, we are friends, hunt together, stay at each others houses, know the family. This place is non-judgemental (for the most part) and here are the people I want to communicate with.

Let's say for instance, Bisch got hurt for example, I want to know about that. If it gets posted in the campfire, I probably wont see it. Over there a thread might be off the front page in thirty minutes and five pages back by the end of the day. I guess the point I am making, is the stuff that is big to the people here, I don't mind. If it is very entertaining and about a regular here, I like reading it.

I had not really noticed that we had gotten too far off track, and I see nothing wrong with a little reminder that this is a Traditional Forum, but certainly wouldn't ban all threads not of a traditional nature. So, while I agree with my friend Bisch, that most of the content should be traditional, I am probably more lenient on the other stuff. Maybe because I do it.....a lot. :-)

Well, it usually goes something like this:

                    1. Select probable arrow.

                    2. Shoot said arrow.

                    3. Make adjustments to said arrow.

                    4. No matter what adjustments are made, said arrow won't do like it is supposed to.

                    5. Cuss a whole bunch, at, and about, said arrow.

                    6. Go get my carbons and have fun again!!!!

Have not seen you around here in forever! How is everything going? Got any openings yet? I'm looking and needing a good place to hunt baaaaaaad!!!!
