The coyotes sang me to sleep. They were thick last night.
Cleaned up camp and made it to another piece of my fams property down the road by 0715.
Shot a few more birds and on the road to Lubbock.
Going home with dove breasts and hearts. Leaning towards skewers or the gravy sauté.

What part of the dove do you consider the tenderloin?? I've been hunting them a lot of years and you've got me fooled...and not a criticism but a statement I sure hate to see that coke next to that fine tasting whiskey....maybe a touch of pure water....Last edited by Winman; 09-10-2017, 11:44 AM.

I call them "tenderloins" they are probably the birds pectoralis minor muscle. I debone the breast meat off of the carcass. On the back side of each side of the large breast meat there is a real small piece of meat that easily separates and they look like little tenderloins.
