Prayers - possible promotion

My manager announced on Monday that she is taking a job with a different company which opens her position up. The upper management is discussing how to fill the position this week - internal promotion or external recruiting. If they go with internal, there are several of us who are eligible for it and certainly capable.

I've been passed over 4 times over the last 12 years and I admit, I probably wasn't the best choice at the time. But, I'd like to think my time has come.

I'm asking for prayers for God's will. As much as I want this, if it isn't His will, I hope to understand the plans He has for me.
