How does an old man justify a new blind ?

How does an old man justify spending $3,500.00 on a tower blind ?

When I owned the farm I bought a lot of very nice blinds, I justified the expense because folks were paying to hunt out of them.

I figure I can justify to myself about any amount of money for a lease.
Hopefully the more money the better the hunting.
Where I struggle is that a new tower blind is around $3,500.00
I hunt a lot but if I go say 10 times a year that is going to cost me $350.00 a visit.
I know I can kill deer setting on a 5 gallon bucket in the bushes...

Once you get old it is hard to figure how many more seasons you have left in you.

Or you can get a Krivo for half of that and make the justification easier.

Age has nothing to do with it....if you want to do it and have the money, go for it. Your kids are just going to p*** it off anyway.

I’m young and can’t justify that kind of money on a blind.

Well bud I look at it this way. I worked for the money. I paid my bills, put back some for tomorrow and those I'll leave behind, give to the Lord and have some left to enjoy. A comfortable blind helps me do that.

            Does hurt a little.

Remember when you are done with it, a blind like that will still have significant value and you will be able to recover some of that $3500 once you are done with it. It made justifying some of this stuff easier for me. But I still have a hard time justifying a lot of the high dollar hunting items. I still dont own a UTV for the same reason you are struggling with.

Ha! Go sit on the 5 gallon bucket a few times, and I’ll bet it starts to make more sense to you! [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

This is exactly how I look at it. Higher end stuff holds its value a lot more. Plus it is better and lasts longer. I would rather have less quality stuff than a bunch of junk that you keep having to replace.
