I bet the convo amongst “highly rated recruits” was the same for Alabama prior to Saban and **** sure was never Clemson prior to Dabo. It’s purely cyclical.. see USC, Notre Dame, Michigan etc

Not even relatively close to the same discussion. USC and Texas would be more comparable and both will climb out of their own stink.

Nebraska has bigger issues and was successful due to much different circumstances and conference affiliation.

Agree Texas will eventually climb out because football is still important and a priority. The only USC people I know don't think they will ever climb out. They blame philosophical/priority shifts at the highest levels that don't value football like they once did and throw in (IMHO) a conference that is quickly heading in a bad direction.
