Don't normally do this, but....
Good friend and neighbor of mine....his 25 year old daughter fell getting out of a truck in their driveway last weekend and hit her head on the concrete. Went to the hospital to get stitches, but things went downhill. Ended up having emergency surgery with part of her skull cut off to relieve the swelling. Doctor wasn't sure if she'd make it the first 24 hours, but she fought through it. Was paralyzed on the left side, but that seems to be improving a little with some uncontrolled movement on the left arm and leg. The doctor is currently saying probably a year of PT if there are no additional complications. She also has a beautiful daughter that's a little over a year old. Going to put a financial bind on her and her father for a long time, but recovery is what the prayers are needed for.
Can't tell you how wonderful our neighborhood is. Never lived in a place like this before. I KNOW most of my neighbors (not just names), we socialize on a regular basis (several times a week), and watch out for each other. We'll get through this together, but prayers for a quick recovery would be appreciated, for Lindsey, and her daughter Lila.
