Alaska -- a must !

Was able to spend some time with a friend who was born and raised on the Kenai river. 19 years as a guide. He spends his winters as a water fowl & nilgai guide on the king ranch. What a life he has ! Couple days of silver salmon fishing resulted in 120 lbs of fillets & white water rafting on the six mile creek for 4 hours with class 3,4 & 5 rapids was amazing & breathtaking to say the least. 38 degree water ! Some pics & go if you can. So peaceful, relaxed, fresh, wild, raw and beautiful. Saw tons of bald eagles, moose and signs of bear.

Alaska in August is extremely awesome. I love spending time there. I fish the Russian river mostly.
