Unit 9. We picked last

The aoudad got away. They were far away when we spotted them and when we got there they were gone. We are very far from the truck. We are going to still hunt the flat back to the truck. Going to move slow and take our time. Look for whitetail and fallow deer.

She just passed a whitetail doe

I was out there 2 weeks ago and got 3 aoudads, a blackbuck, 2 axis, and WT doe. I passed on 2 young 8pt WT bucks. Obviously didn't need the meat and they were very young bucks. My point is keep hunting as there's lots of game. The aoudad don't run far which is why I was able to get 3. As you've probably noticed they like the high nooks and craneys. Just plan your retrieval as it can be a B to get to the animal. The blackbuck like cruising the flat areas. Also, mind the thermals coming out of the canyons in the mornings.
Fyi...Towards the end of the hunt Joe may let y'all swap units if available. I was able to hunt units 6, 5 and 3.
Say "Howdy" to Joe and Dan for me. Dan's daughter is using one of my axis hides to try "brain tanning" on. Really good folks running that park and hunt. Good luck!
