Hooker on New Years Eve...

The story of "Hooker" goes back about 4 years or so. In 2012 I noticed a young 8pt with both eyeguards hooked backwards. Watched him for a couple of years from 2.5-3.5 and he exhibited the same curled back eyegaurds. He then disappeared. I didn't think much of it and then in 2015 he shows up at 5.5yrs with the same character. Still an 8pt though. Sightings were scarce as he grew wiser. In 2016 his rack looked very similar. Only hooked back on his right side though but it was him for sure...and he was a bully. He was on my radar and finally last weekend of general season, Dec. 31st morning hunt he steps out at 160yrds and unfortunately for him my 6.8spc was by my side. It was a short 40yrd track, a great ending to the season and the story of Hooker. Another interesting point, I had a game cam pic from 2012 of him standing next to Wideload (avatar buck)....both deer killed at 6.5yrs of age, but 4 years apart!
