If you watched Episode 21 of the Video Journal, you'll no doubt recall that Adam (Mooseontheloose) connected on a huge 180" trophy buck at CDLC. (If you missed it, you can watch it here.) That presented a good opportunity to create a "Skinning Rack" series of videos for the Video Journal.
In this first installment, Adam demonstrates his technique for skinning a trophy buck while preserving the cape for the taxidermist, and then "quartering" the animal for transportation in the cooler to the processor or final destination, in accordance with TPWD regulations.

We also used Adam's rack to film for upcoming "Skinning Rack" videos that will include Justin demonstrating how to properly cape the head and rack, and how to measure a rack for B&C and/or P&Y scoring systems.
