    Neighbor Problems in Lavaca County

Like lots of you I hunt on small acreage. Up until about two years ago, we had great neighbors, as everyone was on the same page. Lot's of does shot, and unless it was someone's biggest buck to date, or a first buck for someone we were all letting common bucks walk when they showed true potential.

While we will never be a big buck mecca, it was working and we all seemed to be on the same page

    1) Shoot our doe counts
    2) Feed year around
    3) Let the young promising bucks reach maturity for most part
    4) etc..

That's until some jackass from the city moved in due east from us on Rocky Creek a few years ago. Everyone knows the kind:

    1) I am a celebrity, I do as I please
    2) Rules are for everyone else
    3) Etc..

I put up with him only because we have some common friends (quite a few actually) as our paths have crossed on a number of occasions actually since about 1999. Saying that, I have never really much cared for him (though his wife is rocking hot, if you know what I mean).

So I see on social media this morning this jackass shoots a buck I have passed on for the last 2 years. He clearly is (or was) an up and comer and would have likely been a Halletsville KC Hall and Everlast Bowhunting Buck winner had he allowed him to reach full maturity. $100 dollars he didn't even shoot it with his bow or in legal hours. He is that kinda of guy.

I am so mad, I cannot see straight and having problems posting the picture. Someone shoot me a text so I can have yall post the picture for me.

If I shot it outside legal hours, call the game warden.

sucks! Not much you can do to prove it either.

I hate shetty neighbors like that. How old was the buck?

I'm in following, but call the game warden for what? If the deer was legal then it sounds like the guy broke a gentleman's agreement but not the law!

I am thinking 4 years, as I have him on camera 2 of last 3 years.

Rumor has it the hunt was on video...he is that arrogant. If true and I can get my hands on it, you can bet I will be call the game warden (or even the deputy sheriff who has land next to us).

So you just assume since he killed a 4 1/2 year old buck that he did it without a bow and not during legal shooting hours?

Where you planning on shooting it this year?
