Default Velvet at 13,000 feet

Back in August, I was fortunate to fill my achery mule deer tag. Promised a few guys I would write about my adventure. Finally got around to putting a few words together, and thought I would share it with the green screen. Give it a read and let me know what you think

Wow oh wow what an accomplishment. From scouting and preparation to finding and successfully shooting the buck with your bow had to be a very special feeling. To do all of that at 13,000 ft. makes it even more incredible. Congratulations on your success. That is a very nice velvet buck that will look awesome on the wall. Great story and write up. Thanks so much for posting this.

Just an iPhone, a tripod and an adapter. I use the Pro HDR app for landscapes and it works well. The tripod makes it much easier and I can use the 10 second timer for still pics or can video and choose a still image from that. Didn't realize my case for my iPhone dirty thus some of my images were blurry once I got back from the hunt:/

Great write up and great buck!

Now my question. My elk hunting partner wants to do one of these hunts one day. I am afraid of the hunt due to the lack of available water. What did you do for water? Was it hard to find? I drink A LOT of water in a day. I was drinking 3-4 liters on my elk hunt plus cooking water, but water wasn’t an issue where we were.
