Stayed there for a few days for work and I tried fishing at lake sweetwater, didn’t catch or see any fish so I googled the lake I guess they had a fish kill there a while back from golden algae

Yeah it happened. They did stock it this year though.

Lake Trammel isn't any farther out of town and although smaller has great fishing if you ever make it back.
