    Wild Tilapia?

My BIL goes fossil digging in the Peace River every now and then. He wet today and said these fish were everywhere and we could probably net up all that we cared to clean.

I have had good and bad and it was probably all farm raised. He said the time he had wild that it tasted like moss but he got it out of a golf course pond.

Long story short, would it be worth loading up the kayaks and nets and heading to the river?

I'd say so, the ones I've shot on lake Fairfield have been good.

I buy Wild Tilapia every chance I get in the store, it's not easy to find.. I can't tell a difference taste wise.. They have way more nutrients and good stuff in them than farm-raised ones

Probably because farm raised ones are fed the crap from better fish.

Absolutely, Wild Tilapias are excellent, just as good as those farm raised ones. Tilapia & Meowfish are my fav fish, go git'em.

Delicious as long as they are not farm raised

Take some Butter, salt and pepper with ya. Start a fire. Fillet one on the half shell. Put it over the fire till it gets warm/hot. Add a slice of butter. Salt and pepper after the butter melts. Then remove and eat. Fresh tilopia is supper good when it's supper fresh.

Oh, and forget those bow rigs. Take the throw nets and load up, if it's legal there !!! It's legal here
