2019 College Football - Fall Camp Thread

We have..

seniors - 6 (1 may get a medical year back though)
RS JR expected to declare - 1 (madubuike), at most 2 (rogers) ....

That leaves you 7-8 to the NFL / Graduation, and we currently sit at 83 scholarships (lost guys right before camp) so we'd have to lose 15-16 guys to attrition....I don't see it either but Jimbo said 25 this class, I was expecting low 20's.

Looking at roster I could think of 9-10 that could transfer, but you'd be losing some current depth guys any deeper than that.

Sounds like Jimbo May be running some off

I just watched the LSU Florida highlights from last year and LSU looked like they were in 3 wide shotgun for most of the game. If that ain't spread I don't know what is.

I just watched the LSU Florida highlights from last year and LSU looked like they were in 3 wide shotgun for most of the game. If that ain't spread I don't know what is.

They didn’t have 8 dbs on the field either

That will only be occasionally in 3rd and long. Texas has a couple of big safeties that move down to linebacker in that look, and the LB's roll down to DE. It isn't like they are abandoning the LOS.

It gets alot of talk because it is different, but it isn't a staple or anything.

It isn't the base defense. Also, they can only run it if LSU huddles up and sends in a bunch of receivers.

It allows joe to take much more of the reins.. allowing him to check from run to pass, and vice versa. All depending upon what the defense gives him, but please believe they have a heavy run package if a team is light on the front 7.

Yessir! Curious to see how JB handles the RPO decision making, i have faith he’ll do just fine, he’s a smart kid an a competitor i believe he shines in it. [emoji1303]

LSU will bring it both on the field and in the stands for sure. I hope Texas is ready. Important thing is not to be short sighted and forget about La Tech. I know nothing about them but so far Herman hasn't come out in game one with guns a blazing. Time to break that nasty habit.
