    Fantastic writer, first thing I read when I opened a magazine he had a story in.

      Dad would read his stories to us as kids, he was a very good writer.

        I used to have all of his books. Very funny writer, RIP. The Deer On a Bicycle was hilarious.

          He will be missed! I have many of his books, and looked forward to the Last Laugh in Outdoor Life while he wrote for them.

            Loved his stories. Was about the only thing I read in those magazines. His comedy vids on youtube are pretty funny too.

                I remember my dad giving me " A Fine and Pleasant Misery" and "Rubber Legs and Whitetail Hairs"....funny stuff for sure. Rancid Crabtree kind of reminded me of my Pa-Pa as well
