Default Deer taken with stone point & primitive gear

How many of y'all have seen this guy on YouTube or Facebook? Makes his own stone points, cane arrows, osage bows.

I was pretty amazed, but hey, It did keep humans surviving and thriving for centuries.

Impressive all the way around! Nice to have a shot that resulted in a quick kill and even needed no edit until DRT.

Nice. The son really liked looking over my shoulder at this video. Now were going to go look for some flint.

If built right, they will kill just as good as a steel broadhead. I have the scars to prove it while flint knapping!

I've been flintknapping, arrow making, and self bow making for 20+ years. I have killed a dozen deer and hogs with stone points, and one hard earned turkey. A well made stone point will kill as good as any steel point.

I've really enjoyed his videos and follow his Facebook page. Seems a very genuine guy. Remarkable how consistently he knaps identical points. Check out his elk hunt video if you get a chance.

Was kind of wishing he would have talked a little more about the bow -- at least the specs on it, maybe arrow weight as well.

No camo (orange LS t-shirt). Primitive bow/arrows. Sat in a tree.

Proof you don't need expensive camo and a .300winmag to kill something.

Very impressive.

I had to laugh when he climbed the tree and sat on a limb. That's the way we hunted for years. Effective and no stand required. Not sure I could do that now.

Pretty cool, but that is not how indians knapped stone points. They didn't take a core down to a single point. They fractured multiple points and other tools from a single core.

He has other videos where talks about and demonstrates that kind of stuff. His points are ridiculously consistent.
