Giddings area eats

It's a good halfway point to meet up with my kid at UT for Sunday lunch. Looking for a change from Patrones. Steak or BBQ would be nice.

City Meat Mkt has good Q but they are not open on Sunday. There is the steakhouse on the west side of Giddings. I have never eaten there so I can't vouch for it. My understanding is that it is owned by the same people as Patrones.

Its not BBQ but when in Giddings, its tough to be Elviras cafe. Its a little hole in the wall on main street

There is a place just west of City Market that has great home cooked meals but I don't think they are open on Sunday either. I am pretty sure those ladies are in church on Sunday.

B'lieve there's a Whataburger, if necessary. City Meat Market is definitely good -- not sure on availability on Sunday.
