2018 Live Pig Hunts

I must've hit a little farther back than I thought and got the liver, instead of the heart. I'm almost positive it was dead before it stopped running though. It went on my uncle's place, so I'll text my cousin tomorrow and have him keep an eye out for it. I'm still fairly new to night hunting (even though I'm a native East Texan), but I felt like a rookie all around on this kill!

Ah man, I missed a good hunt last night. Looks like good blood, but those things are tough. Keep checking the cameras for new pigs and lets do it again. I enjoy the live activity. Either way its good practice on thinking through the shot for when that big buck walks out.

Yesterday I checked cameras and put out corn.
This was at the back. I walked to the front and waited for a bit.
Meanwhile
He was at the back.
Now, I'm headed to the front, then doubling back and going to the back.

Nothing at the front. I'm in at the back. My cousin and his kids are doing some tractor work a few hundred yards away. Maybe something will come out when they finish. I'm thinking these pigs are bedding somewhere close and come out when they think the coast is clear.

Nada. Cousin and his kid rode their property behind me. I heard something in the brush, but nothing promising. Gotta be at work early in the morning, so probably gonna call it quits within the hour.
