I'm not saying you should. But this is another bite at gun owners and another piece of flesh that was torn off. Everyone has their tolerance for what they can put up with. At what point do you draw the line? Next gas stations won't fill you because you have a NRA sticker on your truck? Where is all of this going?
Were talking about books...magazines here. Look at how fragile people have become. If Texas collapses and starts tip toeing around gun ownership...whats left for the rest of the country?

Print media is dying. Kroger is just looking for some free publicity.

It won't be too long before their aren't any magazines shelves left.

My oldest starts 9th grade next year. She will be issued a laptop instead of text books.

If you really want to stick it to Kroger go protest in the store where the gun magazines used to be and pull up the magazines they banned websites on your phone and read the content.

Boom!!!!!

Kroger's parent company upped the age for gun purchases to 21 a couple weeks ago. Apparently they have some stores in the NW that sell guns and ammo.

We do 90% of our grocery shopping at Kroger and with their loyalty-program we save a lot of money. Reconsidering where we shop now....

FYI. I was in HEB last night and they had NO gun magazines on the rack. May just be that they were sold-out but that would be the first time I've been there in several years that was the case.

they have maybe 2 gun magazines anyways and nobody goes there to buy em. I dang sure aint giving up Kroger. I can get in and out without dealing with a bunch of dumb*****es and can hear English unlike HEB or walmart plus the fuel points

Kroger's other stores (Fred Meyers) have stopped selling guns. They said it has nothing to do with the shooting, simply that they aren't selling very many because people don't generally buy guns from that type of store so they are swapping that shelf space out for something that will sell better.

I can't recall the last time I even walked by the magazine/book section at any store, Kroger/HEB/Walmart/etc...if I even purchase a magazine, it's the Texas Fish and Game, and I usually buy it at Academy while I'm in there

Kroger is one of the few places I go into that has GUNS, Amercian Handgunner and Handloader magazines on the shelf. Those are the only ones I ever buy but usuall just read them while my wife is grocery shopping.

I already quit shopping at Kroger a long time ago. Was mistreated and singled out by a black employee because I am white. Not a misunderstanding on my part either. Manager of course did nothing about it either. I let corporate know but doubt anything was done.

Maybe Kroger needs to not sell junk food to fat kids and their fat parents more people die from obesity than guns.

Sure does suck when stuff like that happens! cant say I have ever reached out to corporate. Kudos to ya as I have learned to accept that some individuals are not worth the brain cells.

Geezus! Can we find anything else to whine about? I am so tired of everybody gettin their panties in a wod over every little thing. How many people actually go to Kroger to get their AR magazines? I’m not gonna stop going to Kroger because they don’t sell AR magazines. They didn’t take anything away from me. And I can’t tell you the last time I bought a magazine at a grocery store, or anywhere, actually! Only thing Kroger did was find a way to NOT make money.

Bwahahahahahahahahha................yessiree!!!!
I think they found a way to "sound good" (not look good) to the housewives, generations X's and primary shoppers they market to. By stopping to carry an item (magazine) that probably does not sell because the mass majority of their target audience don't buy newspapers or magazines in the 21st Century.......sounds like a corporate marketing move with so little downside it is scary brilliant!

Exactly! As long as they keep the 30.06 signs off the front door I'll keep shopping there. Besides I'd be running outta places to get groceries! Wish we had HEB in the metroplex.

I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped selling them a long time ago. a more accurate announcement may be that they will stop offering them for purchase

The point I think some of you are missing is that that this is just the tip of the iceberg. No gun sales, no ammo sales, no magazines, no positive exposure for our youth to see guns in a non threatening way, no youth to support the sport, easy road to legislate and confiscate. Screw Fred Meyer, already transferred my perscriptions over to another store.

^^ This - exactly my same reason for posting the same about HEB. Can't see me boycotting HEB but it does suck that more and more companies are doing this sort of stuff. I talked to the manager of our HEB and she was ready with the statment "Its not us, our supplier quit sending the gun magazines"
