    Euro mount

Started the maceration process on August 1. So this skull has been cooking in the south Texas heat for 18 days. I know my weak stomach can’t handle the stench. But well here we go. Putting on the painters mask. Stay tune for more pics

I’ll bet you left it in there way too long. Skull will probably be in a bunch of pieces.

Rinsed and let it sit in the sun to dry out.
          Dang the stench is horrible!!!

Not sure that's even possible. The best one I've done was a bobcat that I forgot about till I needed the bucket again. It was easily 8 months.

I tried one that way and had a difficult time getting rid of the smell, even the antlers stunk.

I use this method every year. mix boric acid and peroxide together and brush it on thick. Let it sit for a couple of days drying out and it will whiten the skull. Cheap and effective.

Came out good. This is what I started with. I bought that bleach stuff from the beauty hair shop. I used it a couple of years ago on a buck I shot.

This is a buck my son shot this past January. I got a nice piece of mesquite wood that I will mount on.

What did you put in the bucket with it to begin with besides water?

Looks like it worked. How is the smell of the skull now that it’s clean and dried?
