                Each tube holds about 7qts of liquid. I used mixted 2parts water to 1 part gly, with some surfactant. That is what greenleaf, the place I bought the parts from, recommended.

                      how much gly did you ended up going through per acre? Are you able to tell if it killed the johnson grass or just burned it?

                      this is something im really considering doing in my pasture.

                          i tried a small DIY hand held for my wife's flower and ivy beds, using the round lamp wicks and roundup. Leaked too much. Was the problem the wick or do I need a higher viscosity weed killer?

                            Probably the wick. Needs to be very tightly woven. Lamp wicks are typically pretty loose.
