    Shop Build - 30x40

I am in the process of building my own 30x40 work shop behind my house that is also in the process of being built.

I was going to have someone complete this project for me but their time frame just wouldn't work out.

So I am going to take on this project myself with help from my dad.

I was thinking it would be cool to have a TBH Sheeting GTG once it comes time. I know there have been a couple offers before. I would load the coolers and the Pit to make it worth while.

Here is what we have gotten done so far.

Got it formed up and ready to pour.

Completely forgot to stub out any plumbing so my helper and I had to do it after the fact.

My helper would rather do this kind of stuff than play with all the kids.

The trowel finish was very nice.

Here is a pic of the house we are building.

I should get my metal this week so I can start getting it cut and ready to erect.

So what's the going rate on concrete for a shop that size nowadays?? (if you don't mind my asking)

I paid $5000 for this one to be done. I believe the guy said he was getting his concrete for $110 a yard. This took right at 20 yards.

5/8 Rebar in the 16" Grade Beams and 3/8 in the floor.

The finish on this thing is a smooth as glass.

Are you going to stain the crete? Or put a coating on it?

I've got a 30x40 that I built myself. Wish it was a 40x60 They fill up fast.

Looks good. To me, skinning it is the easiest part. You get that first sheet square, and it goes pretty quick.
