Last fall while hunting Dads place I noticed a turkey run off from the camp feeder while walking by on the way to one of our main stands. Thought it was a little strange because we never see any turkeys in the fall. Usually only see a few in the spring. Well everytime we walked by different weekends the hen seemed to not run as far and would watch us from the woods. In January we were pouring corn out at the camp feeder hoping to shoot a few hogs and the turkey came out of the woods and started eating about 10 feet from us. Pretty cool deal. Next time out same thing. But this time 30 minutes before dark we were grilling out and had a fire in the pit and the turkey came into camp. She jumps up on the rocks of the fire pit, clucking, and just hanging out. She flew up on top of the barndo at dark and roosted. I wondered if she would still hang around this spring. Pops and his buddy were out there this last weekend doing some work on the bardo and sent me a few pics. Hopefully she brings in a few big Toms in the next few weeks. Pics to follow in Tap a Talk
