      I use a chore boy 100% copper dishwashing pad and transmission fluid. Steel wool imbeds tiny steel particles cause more rust down the road. You can also use a pre 1982 solid copper penny.

              I can tell you how not to do it. Vinegar! It will dang sure remove the rust, and the finish of your gun. It will also eat a benelli improves cylinder chime in a matter of hours.

                      Use a penny that is older than 1982 and oil, wd40 and rub the penny over the rust, will take the rust off and not the blue
