Went last night and knocked a few down. Used a pulsar trail xq38 in 300blk and flir pts233 in 5.56. Just using the cheap Remington OTFB’s in the blackout. Shooting 62gr American whitetails in the 223. It’s pretty bad medicine on swine

Pulsar Trail XQ38 | Last Hunt!!!

This is my last hunt with my Pulsar Trail XQ38 and it was a crazy one. Ended up chasing a sounder of hogs through the East Texas woods and caught up with a big Sow. After dropping her with a headshot, I was able to pick up a few Bacon Bits, one of which was standing up on her dead momma's back.... Y'all have a safe 4th!!!

Quick update..... I got in a demo unit of the soon to be released FLIR ThermoSight Pro PTS536 ($3,795) and I'm really impressed so far. It's 4x base optical magnification and the image quality is great. Just like the PTS233 and the PTS736, it has internal video recording, multiple color palettes, multiple reticle color options and it's 320x256 and 12 microns.

For guys hunting coyotes/predators or hunting hogs in huge wide open fields this is going to be an extremely popular scope. I should have my first shipment soon and I've already got several pre-sold so if anyone is interested in one, shoot me a PM or give me a call.

Popped another hog and two more corn thief’s the other night. Video didn’t save for some reason and the trail cam only caught the load out

Flir Thermosight Pro PTS536... First Hunt

So the Flir PTS536's are starting to trickle out but many dealers still do not have any stock. I finally got my hands on a demo for a very very short time before I had to ship it off to someone else. There's not alot of video with the PTS536 out right now on the internet but I wanted to share a short hunt. I'll be doing a full review once I have a chance to hunt with one for a couple weeks but here's video from the first hog hunt...

                  Here’s a question:

We have a bad boy buggy that’s getting new batteries soon and is going to be used to sneak up on pigs.

I thought it would be awesome to mount some IR led’s on it and use those with our nv setups.

That and with some goggles, we could be in 100% stealth mode driving around.

So to do this, what are some suggestions on led ir units and 1x goggles for spotting and driving?

At slow speeds on average ranch roads, no external IR will be needed if you have good goggles. Buckle up though, because good goggles can cost $4,000 per eyeball.

I would not buy a night vision monocular anywhere but from TNVC. Here is the one I like best. https://tnvc.com/shop/tnvpvs-14-l3-g...te-phosphor-2/ You are welcome to look through mine sometime.

Jason at OLG told me he could get the UNV IR driving lights. They seem nice. Right now I am still using the cheapo IR lights I bought from Amazon. They have already broken twice, but were only $20 so easy to replace.

9 Year Old's First Hog Kill...

So easy a kid could do it??.. Well 9 year old Ian made his first hog kill look too easy! I love killing hogs and being the one to pull the trigger but nothing is more satisfying than sharing the experience for the first time with my friends. Got my buddy's, who are all new to thermal hunting, on a group of hogs with the Pulsar Trail XP50..

Hot Texas Summer Night Hog Kills...

When you are in your truck at 11pm and the thermometer still says that it's 90 degrees outside, that's when you know it's August in Texas. It's hot, but the hogs still got to eat... Caught 4 hogs wandering away from the water-hole to munch down on some grub before nap nap time..

For those that have the PTS Flir thermals, there is a firmware update you can get from Flir.
