Winstar OR Thoughts..recommendations?

My wife is waiting to find out when her hip replacement surgery will be so our plans for a Mountain summer vacation are on hold. So, living in southwest DFW area, I think at least a day or 2 day trip to this area may work out in case she get's a call to move up her surgery date and we can get home quickly? Susan's on a waiting list for the surgeon we/she wants. I've always been a Vegas lover but with the time restraints it's not in the "cards" with her needs?

Our distance from Granbury is not an issue, so what's the scoop on this Casino from those who have been there? Both retired so any time of the week is good for us.

It's just one big casino. Lots of slot machines. Big poker room but not sure how good the games are now that there are legal poker rooms in all big cities in Texas.

We always had more fun and better luck at choctaw in Durrant ok. We're not much on shows though, mostly kicking back and relaxing at the pool and slots. Winstar is nice, but busy. There are more performers at winstar as well.

It’s big. Tons and tons of slot machines and a couple pretty decent places to eat. (El Fenix, Tony’s bar and grill, some Italian place). Can catch some good shows at times too. Seating is pretty basic chairs. I prefer their style of slots (bingo style) to the Boats or Vegas style myself. Like stated above m, Durant is a bit smaller and especially during the week not near as crowded. Windstsr on a weekend can be a bit overwhelming.

If you are just wanting casino action go to Louisiana. Drinks are free at the casinos in Louisiana. Plus you can get Cajun food!

It's a far cry from Vegas. Lots of oxygen machines and chain smokers. You gota pay the extra ante on card games. It's always crowded, but I don't know why....it's gross.

If your a slot player Comanche Red River On the other side of Wichita Falls has the loosest slots of all the border casinos .

I think OK casinos suck. Pay to play...pay for drinks. I’d go to Louisiana. It’s not that far.
