After my fiasco at Hagerman a couple of weeks ago I almost called it quits for this year. I decided not to give up on what I love so much, but to spend some time with the longbow instead. This morning it paid off.
I was sitting in a stand over 2 scrapes at the intersection of a trail and a logging road. At 7:30 a small 4 point came through. At 8:45 2 does showed. They stopped long enough to eat the hand corn I'd put down. The bigger of the 2 caught a 175gr Zwickwy Eskimo at 5 yards. She went 40 yards.
