Thanks y'all!! White bass were schooling right next to the boat on one laydown we were fishing and we never looked up from the rod tips to send a bait there way! I did wanna bring the 2 flatheads we caught home but had coolers full of crappie and $$$ fish in the livewell so they both lived to fight another day!!

Nice catch. We usually fish Belton but the past couple of years our spots haven't been producing. So we have been trying to learn Waco. Although I hear Belton has been producing some good fish this year. Send GPS coordinates? LOL

Living in cedar park there are numerous lakes around, and I'd drive right past them going to the coast lol

Zebra muscles covered the shallows early last summer. Then the rain started and the lake was 25+ feet over normal level and just a handful from going over the spillway. The zebra muscles moved up with the rising water. Then they finally opened the **** full and the water went down pretty rapidly. You can walk the shoreline and there are muscles everywhere on land. I didn't see a single one in the water. I think the rise and then rapid fall had an effect on them.

I remember the levels happening so it would be awesome if it killed them off or set them back a few years.

We didn't see any or get cut off on any fishing. We caught em on our jigs last year at Roberts. You would pull a jig off a pile and have a zebra mussel stuck to it.

                                Great catch.
Question everbody seems to love crappie.
I have not had one that was not soft and mushy, what am I doing wrong?
