Great project to tag along with.

My high school ride was a 78 stepside with the 250 inline 6- 3 on the tree that had been moved to the floor- which had a nack for locking up when I was on dates- I think she was jealous . The bed was so light it would get stuck in wet grass.

Cant wait to see how it turns out.

Great looking truck. Unless you are wanting to keep everything original you might consider rhino lining the bed. Woud be a lot easier than replacing the boards

I think I am going to line the sides and still replace boards. Going to try and keep it close to original with some improvements and upgrades.

After reading on k5 and square body, I almost want to do a shackle flip on the rear and get the B52 kit for the front with 52" springs. Should net about 4" of lift.

I have done all that. Not hard to do.

Gotta tell you though I am a little nervous to let the kid drive it. Maybe that's why my dad didn't give it to me until I was in my 30s.
Lol. Good luck! Kidding aside, nice restoration truck!

                      This makes me nervous

                      I will read it.

Just went through the entire thread. That is an extensive build there. Sweet rig.

If you had to do it all over again would you just by a lift or do 52" swap?

I changed the shackle angle. No biggie.

Don't know if you saw my edit, if you did all over would you still do the 52" swap?

Sweet build you have serious skills.

I hope your daughter realizes what a JEM she's getting and takes care of it.

How awesome to have such a cool truck with such low miles. Chip Foose is envious!
