    Quartered deer on ICE

    How long is too long for (safe quality meat) if it stays Iced and drained????

    Found out GD killed deer Dec 23...and its still on ICE...

    probably still good. smell will tell. Ive kept them on drained ice for 10 days no problems.

      If I can wait a 5-7 days, i will.. i have a buddy that waits 10

        I’ve processed at the 2 week mark so long as it’s been kept cold and drained properly.

        Do it today.

          This. Smell will tell and it will hit you in the face when you open it up. If you even get a wiff of something off then chunk it.
