    Moving to ND

Hey GS, I recently received an assignment to Minot ND and just thought I would reach out and see who has hunted big game animals in ND or if you have any advice on how to go about hunting the land up there. I have been stationed at Cannon AFB in eastern NM for the past 5 years and will miss the public land here, but I am hoping for the best up north. What kind of information do you have for me????

Note: Not all lands owned by the agencies listed below are open to hunting. Please review the current hunting guides and PLOTS guide for specific lands open to hunting. Contact the North Dakota Game and Fish Department or the manager of the land on which you wish to hunt if you have questions. State Wildlife Management Areas

I think Landrover got his bison there, but possibly SD.

Hunting ND is easy. Drive around until you find whatever you want to hunt that's not on posted land and go hunt.

Lots of pheasants in October! When we go we ponder what the locals do in November through June and the most popular guess always involves taking the cap off of some type of bottle. That and building a big HO train layout in your heated basement.

                        Serious, pheasants are unbelievable!

There's only two seasons in ND, July and winter....

                          Ditch the cotton.

When someone says "When Hell freezes over" there is a chance it could in ND.
