    Traditional FSC Week 16

With the Master's just finished, I was thinking we need a risk/reward challenge.

Get an 8.5"x11" piece of paper and put a fold or a line lengthwise from top to bottom, 2 inches from one side. Make a small dot somewhere on this fold/line. The dot will be the target. Here comes the risk/reward part: shots on or outside the line count as HALF of the actual measured distance from the dot center. Those inside are just the standard measure.

Two shots from 12 yards, any stance (6 for kids). May attempt on 3 days.

Trying to get least total 2-shot distance from dot to win call for next week. Good luck, and have fun!

    BTW: Congrats, Tiger!

Tradtiger, question on the scoring. Can you explain what you mean by outside the line

I need to add a provision to this challenge that I thought but didn't write. The "risky" aspect of shooting at the thin 2-inch strip of paper is that if you miss the paper, the measurement is doubled for that arrow.

            Day : 1
My paper wasn't flat when I shot.
That one is 2 1/8 but I if I'm understanding the rules it counts as 1 1/16
The last one is 2 11/16

            That's a total of 3 3/4 if my figur'n is right.

So if it's in the 2" area you deduct half of the measured distance?

That's my take on it, and any shot off paper is double the measured distance.

Y'all have it figured out. Play safe toward the wide open side of the line is fine and you get the measure that you get. Go for the skinny side of the spot and you get half the measured distance UNLESS you go off the paper -- then it's DOUBLE the distance. That's the nature of risk/reward -- hit close to the pin or go in the water.

Doesn't matter much; have in mind between 1/16 and 1/8 inch. Either way, stated that measure is to center of dot.
