I will be hunting the Lance Rosier unit this year.

Went out to Lance Rosier this weekend. Appears that the deer are very nocturnal. We saw much more sign when we were scouting. We hunted along Little Pine Island Bayou on the west side of the unit. I witnessed no rut activity.

Just started hunting the big thicket. Anyone on here with some years experience hunting it with some pointers?

I'm in Big Sandy now. Jumped up some pigs on the way in. Lots of squirrels playing around, but no deer yet. My dad shot a doe here yesterday.

Haven't made it yet this year to Lance Rossier. Usually hunt in the area around the cemetary(?). Wondering how are road conditions with all the rain we have had lately and the flooding around the bayou.
