For those of you that use HIT, do yall use a Broadhead adapter ring to protect the shaft?

If I used the HIT insert system, I definitely would.
I would also trim the shaft slightly, (after installing inserts), to allow more thread contact with BH/insert, due to some heads having less/shorter threaded section.
You can find custom stainless but they're expensive.

I shot axis arrows for years. I used the adapter rings for a short time. In MHO you don't need them. I never screwed up an arrow where the insert was. Broke a bunch in the Del Rio rocks, but they broke mid shaft... I've been shooting slick trick magnum 100s.
