2018 San Angelo surrounding area season thread.....

Nope....My Covert is still blah...and one of my lease members sat Wed and was skunked. Skunks never happen unless it rains heavily in September/ early October. Humper has been religiously, weekend after weekend with few breaks after one deer and has low numbers as well. No blood drawn on teh lease by Thanksgiving just doesn't happen.

Not to sound bad BUT thank goodness, I thought it was just my Irion co cameras not picking up much

This is the week I took my best buck off our Robert Lee lease last year on my birthday, this coming Saturday to be exact. The rut is starting but not full bore yet from local reports and what we have seen...good week coming so get 'em folks!!

I went out this afternoon and looked around. Some heavy chasing going on. Plenty of corn under feeders but bucks all over. It’s getting prime for finding deer just may not be at a feeder.

Still chasing some at our place near Christoval. This buck we named Splitter, has been amazingly elusive this year and screwed up chasing a girlfriend into a feedpen today. Tbher Supersport who doesn't post much here made him pay. 147” rough score gross per him. Heavy deer all the way to his tips.

Wow what a awesome deer. Love the dark horns. Is activity increased any? Our place looks like a ghost town we have killed 4 deer so far this year usually we are around 12 or so by now.
