Default Fat cat

Ok, so I have this older kitten/ cat that we adopted about 2 months ago. I love her - she is handy to have for the rats and snakes and has proven herself many times over. We feed her a little bit, but she is getting FAT. I think I know why now.

Last night as I was heading to bed, I heard this loud pop in the garage - we don't let the cat in the house and leave the garage door cracked open for her to come and go. I went into the garage and she is playing with a baby rabbit. The popping sound was coming when it ran into something. Poor thing had a bloody nose, but that was it. I picked it up and set it out in the tall thick grass and locked the cat in the garage for the night.

I think she's getting fat because she is eating so many rabbits and rats! She is much heavier than she looks, too.

At least you don't have to feed her for a while! You know she isn't going to leave

The problem is the other half wants to make sure she has food in the bowl.

She loves to play with my pup, Ace. They chase each other until Scout shows up. Game over.

I have a theory about why she could be getting fat but she may be fixed.

yup. she's spayed. she is not at all lazy, either. She will often follow me around like the dogs do all over the property. Sometimes we end up walking over a mile and she runs with us the whole time. She is awesome. Her name is Aggie.

No wonder Brandon couldn't find any bunnies when he was there!

She's just trying to help feed her 'family'. Fried rabbit, rabbit kabobs, rabbit stew....

Camoquest - she was just getting warmed up when Brandon was here. yesterday I found an entire nest dug up - but that could have been Scout, too. She eats the bunnies like pop corn. Stupid rabbits shouldn't dig a small hole in the middle of a pasture and expect babies to live.
